Ahmedabad, 7 September 2026 — At the elimination stage of Stage 3 of the Hyundai World Archery Para Series 2026 in Ahmedabad, India, Chinese para archer Liang Qiurong delivered a strong performance, advancing to three gold-medal matches: the women's recurve individual, women's doubles and mixed team events. Her run contributed to China securing eight gold-medal match berths in total.

Held at Sabarmati Riverfront from 5–9 September, the event marks India's first time hosting the World Archery Para Series. A total of 109 para archers from 19 nations are competing across the recurve, compound, W1 and visually impaired divisions.
World No. 39 Liang, seeded fourth at the tournament, overcame local 18-year-old Rajshri Dhanraj Rathod 6–4 in the women's recurve individual semifinal. She will face Iran's Somayeh Rahimi Ghahderijani in the gold-medal match.
In the team events, Liang paired with Chen Yu in the women's doubles and Xia Lei in the mixed team event. Both Chinese combinations won their semifinals and will face India in their respective gold-medal matches.
Liang competes with a NIKA competition setup featuring the NIKA ET-19AL “Stars” aluminium recurve riser, NIKA S+ "Bloom" recurve limbs and an XT carbon stabiliser set. The ET-19AL riser is designed for stability and precise tuning, while the S+ limbs combine high-modulus carbon, bamboo and foam to support a smooth draw and consistent shooting performance. The XT stabiliser set helps optimise balance and vibration control.
A team gold medallist at the 2025 Asian Para Archery Championships, Liang brings valuable international experience into the finals. She will compete for medals across three events, while eight Chinese entries will contest gold-medal matches in Ahmedabad.
The Ahmedabad stop also provides important preparation ahead of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games, which are less than 50 days away.
